Today I bought a planner

All I want out of life these days is to have a busy schedule. And if I did have a busy schedule, what is the one thing I would need? A planner! Obviously, I would have tons of things to do and write down and make notes of. So I hit up Target and bought myself a Franklin Covey weekly planner.

Since I don't actually have much going on, it didn't take too long to write in all of my activities. But there was something empowering about carrying it around. It felt like everyone looked and me and thought, "Wow, that girl must be important and probably has somewhere better to be." I'm hoping that one day that will actually come true.

I needed the perfect place to test out my planner. I went to Borders. Oh, and I put on my "reading" glasses for effect. Here's the scene:
Cute guy in poltics/history section. Late 20s. We probably could have had something if the following conversation had never happened.
Me: I see that you aren't carrying a planner, like this one here (hold out planner for him to see). Does this mean you use some sort of calendar on your phone to keep track of your appointments?
Cute Guy: I'm sorry?
Me: A planner? Do you have one?
CG: No. (pretends to read the back of a book.....I saw the hint, but chose not to take it).
Me: (eyebrows raised, sympathetic tone of voice) reallllly? You don't have one? You must not have a whole lot going on then? (Looks at watch) Ok, well I gotta go to my next appointment. Nice talking to you.
CG: (pure confusion)

Alright, so maybe a planner isn't a good icebreaker with the fellas....but there is something about it that I love.

Today I took all the vitamins

I decided to take all the vitamins that are in our house today. Why? I'm not sure....but it seemed like a good idea at the time.

My sister's wedding is just around the corner and all these health magazines speak of how beneficial these "vitamin" things are. So I thought I would give it a whirl. I even took Centrum Silver which is for individuals 50+, but being wise beyond my years, I figure that I can take it anyway. Also - I took at calcium pill that was huge....I'm talking horse tranquilizer big. Ugh, I almost just barfed in my mouth thinking about swallowing it.

One time I did actually barf after taking a multi-vitamin. It was so gross. So this time I took the proper precautions before ingesting all the vitamins. I ate. Taking vitamins on an empty stomach is a HUGE mistake. Don't ever do it.

So far, I feel a little light headed. I'm not sure if this is my imagination though.

What I'm hoping to get out of this is really bright colored pee. I'm assuming it will be neon. I'll keep you posted.

Yep, this is my new blog. Sorry kids, I need something to occupy my time.....other than Samantha Who? which got cancelled after two seasons (why? I have no idea because it's freaking awesome). I'm almost out of episodes.

UPDATE: my pee was not as florescent as I imagined it would be. Major disappointment.
